Deep Strike On Terrorism: Dhaliwal's Counter Terrorism Strategies Hits Hard On Target

The Special Cell of Delhi Police under the able guidance and leadership of Special CP H.G.S Dhaliwal has launched the Interfaith-Interface program to de-radicalize the youth, especially those who often mistakenly slip into the dark world of terrorism. This program involves cultivating inter-faith through an interface by bringing prominent personalities of all communities, ranging from religious and spiritual preachers on one platform to speed up and inject the de-radicalization process deeply down to the wire in society, especially vulnerable/misguided youths. Taken over as Special Cell chief last year in April, Dhaliwal's strategic brilliance especially in designing counter-terrorism strategies and fighting Transnational Organised Crime(TOCs) have fallen on the right lines and delivered desired results. In the light, where the forms of radicalization are gradually evolving and transforming, de-radicalization becomes an hour of the need. The process of De-radicalisation is one the first and foremost strategies in deeply striking terrorism by bringing the participation of communities and society. Undoubtedly, these kinds of programs not only align with the vision and goals of India's national security thought and landscape but are also instrumental in giving a fillip to the efforts of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval's soft approaches in counter-terrorism (de-radicalizing through establishing an interface and bringing religious preachers at one platform). Top sources in power corridors say that for a few years, the Special Cell of Delhi Police wasn't that proactively involved in devising strategies and upping their strategic tempo. However, ever since Dhaliwal took over, the Special cell indeed transformed into a more active, technologically, and strategically sound anti-terror unit in the country.
