Delhi Police Withdraws Security Cover Of Former Delhi Police Commissioners.

WITC

In a major development, it has been learned that Delhi Police Commissioner recently conducted a security audit and reviewed the security deployments to former CPs, former judges, and other retired officers. After the audit and brief review, it has been found that security units had around five thousand personnel against the sanctioned strength of around six thousand, and it was also found that one of the former Delhi Police Commissioners had 15 police personnel deployed with him. After which it was decided to withdraw the security cover and downgrade the security covers of former Delhi Police Commissioners, retired judges, and officers.  It has also been decided by the Delhi Police that from now onwards security cover will only be given to those for whom the security cover has been ordered or recommended either by MHA or Court. This withdrawal move is done to increase the strength of police personnel deployed for law&order  and to give effectiveness in policing of the National Capital.
