Dutt Is New DGCA Boss, An Administrator Who Knows The 'Silver Craft' Of Bureaucratic Management

Recently, DGCA got his new boss, Vikram Dev Dutt an IAS officer of 1993 batch and AGMUT cadre. Dutt is one of few bureaucrats in the cadre who knows about the 'silver craft' of bureaucratic management. Almost a year ago he was entrusted the charge of CMD Air India to wind up its affairs smoothly and he did that with brilliant management, top sources say. A thorough gentleman and a bureaucrat who loves to work in silence. His methods and working style have helped him not only deliver effective results but also earn the trust of the top brasses. When he headed the health department in Delhi during the pandemic time, he ensured the equilibrium of health affairs is maintained in tough times and kept the department's effectiveness intact so to address challenges that the pandemic posed at the administrative levels. Certainly, not every IAS officer has this 'silver craft of managing the system.  Parimal Rai is also among the few having mastered the silver craft of bureaucratic management. Currently, airline affairs to a certain extent are reeling under turbulent times, especially from the safety point of view. Undoubtedly, Dutt at the helm of DGCA will use his 'silver craft' to bring the airline architecture back on track. top sources suggest. Power corridors further reckon that Dutt still has six years in his hat and this 'silver craft' will make him not only sail smoothly but also help him to scale heights in this unpredictable bureaucratic landscape.
