Former Delhi Police Commissioner Is Still In CP Hangover?

Every AGMUT cadre IPS officer aspires to become Delhi Police Commissioner, some officers take it by merit and some take it by a stroke of a fluke. Delhi Police had two commissioners who to a certain extent got the top post by a stroke of fluke. Top sources say that a former Delhi police commissioner has still not got over with his CP hangover. Sources say that ex-CP still calls to his known and close SHOs for personal purposes. Some add that the former commissioner is busy in building a lavish residence at the outskirts of Delhi for which he is seeking assistance from lower ranks of the force. It has been further said that the former chief of the force still talks in 'CP mood'. The former CP during his tenure had made desperate attempts to seek extension on his coordinated COVID relief response in Delhi. Power corridors say, this former CP was also desperate for the media spotlight so to manage his extension game.  However, his tenure was mired by massive law and order failure, incompetency, and corruption. He was also not taken too seriously as everyone in the ranks thought that he may exit anytime. Even, the MHA regretted the decision of mistakenly choosing him as Delhi Police Commissioner.
