NDMC Chairman Manoj Kumar Dwivedi felicitates the prominent artists of the 10-day Har Ghar Tiranga Art Exhibition
New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), in collaboration with Nav Shidhartha Art Group, successfully concluded the special ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2026’ Art Exhibition and Live Painting Workshop at the Janpath Subway Art Gallery, New Delhi, celebrating the spirit of national unity, patriotism and pride in the run-up to the 80th Independence Day of India.
Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Chairman - NDMC, felicitated the prominent artists in recognition of their creative contribution to the special Art Exhibition on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the 10-Day Special Group Art Exhibition of “Har Ghar Tiranga” today at Janpath Subway Art Gallery, Outer Circle, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
After witnessing the 10-day art exhibition, NDMC Chairman, Shri Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, said that I would like to compliment and congratulate all the participating artists for expressing their creativity, thoughts and emotions with such dedication and sincerity. Art has a unique power to bring an individual closer to the divine, and is a profound medium of connecting with the inner self. The artworks showcased here beautifully reflect diverse philosophical and spiritual themes.
Dwivedi also said the exhibition was organised on a modest scale, but the vision is to take it to a much larger platform by bringing together artists not only from Delhi and across India, but also from different parts of the world. With the upcoming BRICS Summit, NDMC will explore opportunities to provide a suitable platform for showcasing the artistic expressions and cultural heritage of artists from BRICS nations and other countries, he added.
Dwivedi said that along with ensuring seamless civic services and world-class urban amenities, NDMC remains equally committed to promoting art, culture and creativity. We firmly believe that the true heritage of any civilisation and culture lies in its art, as art gives expression to the emotions, values, imagination and collective consciousness of society.”
The felicitated artists included Shri Dilip Chandoliya, Shri Dinesh Ram, Shri Selendra Singh, Shri Ramonkar, Shri Rudra, Shri Amit Dutt, Shri Anil Kumar Sharma, Ms. Poonam Yadav, Shri Prashant AV and Shri Surendra K. Mishra. A total of 80 certificates were distributed amongst the artists who participated in the 10-day "Har Ghar Tiranga Art Exhibition" organised by NDMC.
During the concluding ceremony, certificates were presented to the participating artists in recognition of their contribution to the exhibition and live painting workshop. The initiative provided a meaningful platform for both eminent and emerging artists to express their creativity while contributing to the larger national Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
NDMC Director (Art and Culture) – Shri Rajesh Kumar Shah said the concluding ceremony brought together artists, art enthusiasts, and members of the public to celebrate the powerful connection between art and patriotism. The exhibition presented a vibrant collection of approximately 80 paintings and 15 sculptures, showcasing diverse artistic interpretations of India’s national identity, heritage, unity and the significance of the Tricolour.
He also said a major attraction of the initiative was the Live Painting Workshop, in which 10 renowned artists created artworks before the audience, adding a dynamic and inspiring dimension to the celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga. Through their creative expressions, the artists highlighted the values of unity, diversity, freedom, patriotism and national pride.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2026’ Art Exhibition & Live Painting Workshop was organised by NDMC in collaboration with Nav Shidhartha Art Group to celebrate the spirit of the national flag through artistic expression and encourage citizens to connect with the values represented by the Tricolour.
