Nine Names In List Three In Close Competition For Next Haryana DGP

As the present DGP of Haryana is retiring next month, the process to appoint the next Haryana DGP has formally begun. According to top sources, the Haryana Government will send the names for the next DGP to UPSC anytime soon. Sources say that nine names have been sent to UPSC. However, it has been learned that out of nine three are in close competition. Sources say that R.C Mishra IPS(1989) is leading and Shatrujeet Kapur and Desh Raj of 1990 batch are trailing Mishra. If things go for a twist then Kapur will win the race. Though the chances of bypassing in such a close competition cannot be ignored, Alok Roy and O.P Singh of 1991 and 1992 batch are also in the race. It would be interesting to see this where this race goes because one month is still in the hand and the picture is expected to get clear by the first week of August, sources say.
