Sanjay Arora Faces His First Storm, Lapses and Questions But Commissioner's Unflappability Will Help The Force

Delhi Police yet again is under a severe storm involving questions, charges, criticism, and what not. However, it's not the first time, Delhi Police has seen worse situations. Previous commissioners also faced intense fire when got locked in crises that emanated from Delhi Police's overconfidence and unexplainable blunders. But certainly, there were very few Commissioners who calmly and tactfully handled the situation instead of bursting and making impulsive decisions, and the present CP Sanjay Arora is one of them, sources say.  Though, as usual, whenever Delhi Police came under crises, it leaves a long trail of blunders and mess. Presently, it is still a genuine question that Delhi Police's visibility and deterrence missions on days such as New year's eve especially in crime-prone areas were pretty dim despite deploying additional forces on the ground, this is something very alarming for Delhi's law and order situation and for which accountability of officers must be fixed. However, amidst severe criticism one thing has to be underlined is the unflappable attitude of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora which is proving to be instrumental in helping the force to focus more on the investigation and inquiry process rather than engaging in each and every front of flak, top sources say. We have seen many impulsive and hasty Police commissioners in the past who made more blunders when got themselves locked in crises situation, power corridors say. Power corridors believe that the current leadership of Delhi Police under Arora will soon battle out this storm.
