Two names leading for next Chhattisgarh DGP

The process to appoint a regular DGP in Chhattisgarh has reportedly begun, with two names leading the race. Top sources say that incumbent DGP Arun Dev Gautam of the 1992 batch is most likely to be appointed as a full-fledged DGP. He is scheduled to retire next year in July. Another name is Himanshu Gupta, IPS of the 1994 batch, who is also considered a frontrunner.
