Vineet Joshi Called Back To Cadre, Appointed As New Manipur Chief Secretary

Amidst a sensitive scenario in Manipur Vineet Joshi(IAS:MN: 1992) who is presently DG NTA and Additional Secretary Education has been called back(prematurely repatriated) to his parent cadre. On return, he has been appointed as Manipur's Chief Secretary. Top sources say that there was no effective administrator in the state. Joshi is considered a bright administrator and an officer who knows how to manage crises. Therefore he has been called back to look after the civil administration and coordinate with security apparatuses. He was given one year extension in central deputation quiet time back.
