BJP Allies Also For Caste-Based Census?
BJP is from very binging opposing the caste census, though the Bihar government has already done a head count based on caste and also placed it in the public domain on 2nd October source says. Ajit Pawar, the newly appointed deputy chief minister of Maharashtra belonging to NCP, also favours caste-based census and wants to introduce it in Maharashtra source says. He requested the Mahagathbandhan government of Bihar to provide the process and system to effect it in the state, source says. The action has brought the BJP into a tight spot, but unable to do anything because allies in the UP government are also demanding, the same source says. The opposition by the BJP is not going well in the society because they feel that the majority of the society is being deprived of their actual rights source says.
