Embezzlement At Ram Mandir Angered Brahmins

Embezzlement At Ram Mandir Angered Brahmins

State elections in UP are around the corner, and at the moment, the BJP does not want to annoy any community or caste to ensure the party remains in power, a source says. Unfortunately, something or other is surfacing over the ground to displease the staunch supporters, the latest in the row is embezzlement in the offerings at the Shri Ram temple at Ayodhya. The Brahmins are very much annoyed with this, and the BJP is quite puzzled to see the staunch supporters differing at this crucial time, a source says. The message has gone in the community that RSS, VHP and BJP could not manage the governance because all the people selected in the trust belong to one idea and no one to challenge or criticise, put on debate with in trust about all misdoings, the source says. The Brahmins feel that all three are misusing the offerings for their purpose without caring for the faith and devotion of the crores of people all over the world, the source says.

This has shaken the faith of Brahmins in the BJP, a source says. Though the UP government immediately formed the SIT to enquire into the matter, and on the prelim reports, eight people have been put behind the bar, but most are Brahmins, the source says. Yogi, the CM, also changed the name of Jalalabad to Parshurampuri to soothe the feelings because Parshuram is considered a deity by the community, according to a source. It is a different story that many years back the Tahsil Jalalabad was renamed after Parshuram, but a formal announcement was made now, a source says. Now it will be interesting to see whether the Brahmins, with this change, will altogether forget the embezzlement and back the BJP, a source says. The BSP is also trying to woo the community, and the SP has already announced many programs and meetings to bring the Brahmins into their fold, the source says. The political observers are sure that if the annoyance of the Brahmins is not tackled properly, the BJP is likely to face tough challenges in the coming assembly elections, a source says.
