Ex-MLA of BSP, Joined Samajwadi Party?

Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali, leader of BSP has joined SP in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow source says. He is influential in his hometown, Azamgarh source says. He won in 2012 and 2022 from the Mubarak Pur assembly constituency and also contested the 2022 parliamentary election on a BSP ticket and secured 2.66 lakh votes source says. Joining Jamali will improve the SP standing in Azamgarh source says. S P is trying hard to improve the tally in coming Lok Sabha elections and the presence of Jamali would attract more Muslims source says. Probably he will be made MLC soon source says. S P has not declared the candidates for the Azamgarh seat and Dharmendra Yadav has been given responsibility of Kannauj and Azamgarh constituency source says.
