India has completed a two-year tenure as an elected member and President of the Security Council of the UN. During its tenure country managed successful deliberations and issued guidance on UN Terrorism and reorganization of UN source says. In the farewell speech, the permanent representative of the country said that during its tenure many countries have praised the impartial decisions and stand taken by the country. In a speech, a special mention of the global south was made and presented that country has never hesitated to give voice to the developing country and always took a stand against global terrorism. Mrs. Kamboj took charge in January 2021 from T S Tirumurti as permanent representative. As president of the anti-terrorist committee, the government arranged two meetings in the country to give a first-hand feel to the other member country representative on the misery the people of this country suffered and suffered. Austria, Russian, and representatives of many countries admired the stand taken by the Indian government leaving its priorities for sake of the UN charter which helped the world to remain safe and liveable. Representatives of Bangladesh and UAE were praised for the voice raised for the global south which they said was more relevant to promote peace and harmony amongst developing countries. The successful completion of the tenure has given a boost to the foreign policy of the country and also established that country is having an independent foreign policy.
