Jarange Patil Demands To Declare Marathas As Kunbees?

Founder of the Shibva organisation, Jarange Patil has demanded the central government and state government to declare the Maratha as Kunbees source says. The demand, though quite old but now getting movement after the caste census of Bihar and Congress, JD(U) and RJ (D) support for the proportionate share for them in the country source says. The declaration of Maratha as Kunbee will automatically bring the Maratha to the list of OBC a sources say. However, the demand has been objected to by a group of OBC and Marathas source says. The opponent says that there are a lot of differences between 96- Kulee - Maratha and Kunbee - Maratha source says. In the meantime, Jarange Patil sat on a hunger strike till death at Antaravali Sarathi village of Jalna district of the state source says. Before this, he was on hunger strike from 29th August to 14th September and only on the advice of CM on tour to the village broke the hunger strike after assurance that reservation would be extended as per his demand soon, source says. The people of the Maratha community are not allowing political parties to place their hoardings and banners nearby, and slowly, the agitation is spreading in the entire state source says.
