JD(S) And BJP Forget About Muslim Voters Of Karnataka?
After prolonged discussions, the party of ex-PM decided to go with BJP for the 2024 parliamentary elections. Though ex-CM and son of Devegauda, ex-PM hinted just after the humiliating defeat in the assembly elections that the JD(S) will go for alliance with BJP source says. Devegauda was having some reservations and at one point in a statement said that he is to decide what to do and what not and his son will have to follow only instructions source says. Perhaps the pure mathematical calculations forced him to agree with what the alliance source says. As per the data available from the recently held elections, it comes out that if JD(S) goes with BJP the alliance is likely to win at least 18 seats and Congress will get hardly 10 seats out of a total 28 seats source says. If JD(S) contests alone, it will not be possible to bag even a single seat, the Congress is likely to secure 20 seats and BJP will be stopped at 8 seats source says. The decision is influenced by these mathematical reasons but while deciding the alliance senior party leaders of JD( S) failed to take the sentiments of Muslim voters into consideration source says. The Muslim voters are perhaps not in favour of the alliance and most likely drift from the JD(S), which is now in open with the statement of the Chief of party source says. After criticising the alliance Ibrahim, the chief of the party has been removed source says.
