Old Congressmen in BJP?

The ex-state chief of the Congress party, Sunil Jakhar, has constituted his new team as BJP state head source says. The BJP team is full of ex-congress leaders loyal to Sunil Jakhar source says. The prominent leaders included are Fateh Jung Bajwa ( brother of Pratap Singh Bajwa, opposition leader in the assembly), Harjit Kamal, Arvind Khanna, and Kewal Dhillon, a source says. In the core committee, Manpreet Badal and Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, both senior ex-Congress leaders, are included source says. Ravneet Singh Bitto also joined the BJP source says. With all these prominent leaders now in the BJP, it gives an idea that it’s not the BJP team but of Congress leaders source says. In 2019, Congress bagged 8 seats out of 13 parliamentary seats and BJP, in alliance with SAD, could bag only 4 seats, the source says. SAD managed 27.4% votes and BJP only 9.6% source says. This time, SAD is contesting alone, and it will be interesting to see whether BJP manages more percentage of votes or SAD will increase the vote percentage at the cost of BJP source says.
