Priyanka Gandhi To Contest From Raibareli?

 It was almost decided that Sonia Gandhi will contest from Rajasthan for Rajya Sabha and Priyanka Gandhi from Himachal Pradesh source says. Sukkhu, the CM of Himachal Pradesh forwarded a proposal of this effect to the Congress president source says. Before the announcement the Congress president discussed the matter with Sonia Gandhi source says. Considering the attachment with the public to Raibareli, Sonia Gandhi wanted somebody from the Gandhi family should contest from there a source says. She requested to withhold the announcement of the name of Priyanka Gandhi and write a very emotional letter addressed to the public of Raibareli expressing her gratitude for continuing support to the Gandhi family and requesting support in future also source says. This was probably an emotional card for Priyanka Gandhi to make up her mind to contest from Raibareli instead of going through Rajya Sabha source says. She also spoke to her daughter and tried to convince her that going through Rajya Sabha would give a wrong signal politically and urged her to contest from Raibareli source says.
