Successor of B.L Santosh's Likely In Horizon?

The new BJP president took charge on 20th January 2026, and it's been almost five months, but his new team has not taken charge. Though it is rumoured that the team is almost finalised and awaiting an auspicious day to announce, the source says. It's expected that the new team would be a combination of new energy and experienced hands. Probably Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal would be retained in the team, but B L Santosh is likely to be replaced. The party is not happy with his working style, especially his regular interference in Karnataka affairs, a source says. But at the behest of the RSS, he is to continue because the RSS feels that he is constantly engaged in the preparation of the programs related to the celebration of 100 years, and dropping him in between would hamper the smooth sailing, the source says.

He was working as a coordinator between the RSS and the BJP for the celebrations, a source says. On Dussehra Day, the RSS’s 100-year programs would culminate, and then B L Santosh is likely to be replaced, a source says. Now, the new question arises as to who is to replace B L Santosh, the knowledgeable source says that two names are being considered source says. Shivprakash, the joint organising secretary, is leading the race and is working with B L Santosh with all zeal and dedication, a source says. The RSS sent him to the BJP in 2014, and he had worked with two previous presidents, a source says. The second name in the round is Atul Limaye, joint general secretary. He is an engineer by profession and worked hard during the Maharashtra elections and succeeded in getting a majority in the state, the source says.
