Yashwant Sinha- A Happy Looser?

WITC

With the present strength of NDA and supporting parties the combined opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha probably never thought of winning the election but his untiring efforts, statesmanship, and clear conceptions of all the subjects have given him ample satisfaction that despite the change of wagons by some very strong ally’s in opposition parties and cross votings, he mustered more votes in comparison of Late Bhairo Singh Shekhawat, Late P A Sangama and Mrs Meera Kumar. He secured 66,629 more votes than Sanjeeva Reddy who contested in the year 1969 source says. Smt. Draupadi Murmu secured 6,76,803 votes in comparison to Sinha’s 3,80,177 votes. 25,241 more votes were secured by the outgoing President in 2017 source says. Though putting up Adiwasi lady for President position was a very honest strategy by BJP to make a road in the unity of opposition party and was expecting the large number of cross-voting but seems the opposition parties also learned a lot from past and almost remained united to put up strong challenges?
