Yuvraj Singh To Contest From Gurdaspur?

BJP always tried to field some celebrities from Gurdaspur. Sunny Deol is the sitting MP, but after elections, he is seen seldomly in the constituency, a source says. Even the attendance in the Lok Sabha is only 17% in comparison to the average attendance of 79% of other MPs source says. He never delivered any speech or asked any questions on the floor of the house source says. This time, BJP has made up its mind to replace him and bring Yuvraj Singh, the ex-cricketer, to contest, a source says. Though Yuvraj was also keen to contest initially after the flash of news that ex-cricketer Navjot Singh Siddhu is likely to join the BJP, he has given the cold shoulder because he feels the party will prefer or focus on Siddhu in comparison to him, source says. The local leaders opined to consider fielding some politicians from the constituency instead, some celebrity source says.
