1991 Batch Getting Space for DG Appointments, First From Batch Seeks Central Deputation
As DG level appointments are around the corner, interesting power lobby games have begun to cross-cut the competition from seniors. The 1989 and 1990 batches are still competing hard to get respectable accommodation in the center while few remaining from the 1988 batch clandestinely aim to the center. Amidst power crisscrossing, the 1991 batch has taken the opportunity to push their candidature. A few months back, they got their DG empanelment, and now, a few of them have started their calculations for the incoming DG appointments. The first from the batch Alok Ranjan IPS: MP: 1991 batch has sought central deputation at the DG level, and sources say that he has also been given the vigilance clearance for the same, though some also say that incoming state elections in Madhya Pradesh might have influenced Ranjan's choices in any case, Ranjan is considered as an upright and honest officer with sound administrative skills along with policing as Chief Vigilance Officer(CVO) BHEL in the center. Perhaps this combination favours Ranjan in getting a DG-level berth in the centre, top sources say. Interestingly, if 1991 gets some space to register their presence for DG-level posts, then perhaps pressure on the 1989 and 1990 batches would double and shrink their chances as well, top sources add.
