Parimal Rai, IAS officer belonging to AGMUT cadre and 1985 batch is scheduled to retire this month. He will retire as Chief Secretary Goa. He is considered to be one of the visionary administrators who knows how to plan and polish administration for effective delivery of results. Having said that an officer with a combination of vision and excellent administrative skills makes him a double-powered engine who not only can efficiently run the state machinery but also do justice and serve at the grassroots level thereby achieving the real essence of the public good. Rai was such an example in the power corridors. In his illustrious span of a career, he has earned respect from all corners because above said qualities and working style. Rai's stint in Chandigarh also serves as an example of his successful administration.
