Ambitious AGMUT Cadre, But Rumour Bazaar Have Always Backfired
With Almost 20 days to G-20, all security agencies and Delhi Police are burning mid-night oil, but every UT IPS officer does not wish to go along well with the 14th Floor, especially when the trend of outsiders has begun. Triggering infighting, competition, and clamour have always burned UT IPS officers and have put themselves in such position that they can't even rule their own roost. Unfortunately, at such a crucial juncture, the rumour bazaar has again got something new to throw to give some breather to the AGMUT cadre. News is being run which says that Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora has expressed his willingness to leave Delhi Police to MHA. Perhaps, AGMUT IPS officers are aiming to take some brownie points from incoming DG level reshuffling, but again this will be an empty salvo towards the 14th Floor of PHQ. Top sources in MHA have categorically denied such developments with no plans to bring change at the 14th floor. Top sources in the power corridors have laughingly passed on this rumour and said that "Sanjay is doing quite good, and his continuance seems clear, a long tenure CP who has now absorbed the Delhi Police affairs well is a perfect fit for MHA". It has been further said that Delhi Police Commissioner has also wittingly taken a jibe at the rumour during a meeting and passed it on. It's not the first time when Delhi Police Commissioners have found themselves in speculative crosshairs, not because MHA wants to take the call but because senior UT cadre IPS officers have eaten their hearts out and always attempt to bite more than they can chew, top sources said.
