Appointment of Sikkim DGP Challenged In Supreme Court

In a significant development, a PIL has been filed against the order of the Sikkim Government giving A Sudhakar Rao (IPS:1989:SK) additional charge of Sikkim DGP. The PIL says that the order has violated the Prakash Singh judgment. In this regard, the SC has issued notice to the state government of Sikkim.
