Centre to empanell remainder slot of bureaucrats???,

The Government of India empaneled 27 IAS Officers (1990 Batch) for Secretary or Secretary Equivalent posts. But since the orders, only 6 of them have been given Secretary level posting so far.

So far, six months have passed and the remaining 21 officers are still waiting for their postings in their respective departments/ministries, while many posts are lying vacant and that too since several months.

A list of few Officers in waiting for empanelment/appointment is given below: 

1-Mrs. Alka Upadhyaya presently posted as Chairperson, NHAI, Madhya Pradesh

2-MS Bhatia presently posted as DG, ESIC, Jharkhand

3-Mrs. Archana Agrawal presently posted as Member Secretary, NCR Planning Board, Uttar Pradesh

4-Vijoy Kumar Singh presently posted as AS, Textiles, New Delhi

5-Ravi Shankar Prasad presently posted in Cadre Assam

6-SKG Rahate is presently posted in the Ministry of Power, Jharkhand

7-Atul Kumar Tiwari presently posted in Skill Development, Karnataka

8-Arun Baroka is presently posted in DWS, New Delhi

9-K Moses Chalai presently posted as Secretary, NEC Council

10-Ganji Kamala Vardhana Rao presently posted as DG, Tourism, Manipur

11-Vivek Bhardwaj presently uniquely placed under Central Deputation as Acting ACS Health, Jammu & Kashmir

There are speculations that the Government is now in the process of winding up the first review and empanelment orders are expected soon for officers in waiting. According to sources, 15 names are being considered in the first phase.
