Delhi Police To See Officers From Outside Soon?
WITC
In a major development, it has been learned from top sources that Delhi Police is soon going to see officers from outside cadres. According to sources, seven IPS officers belonging to various cadres are likely to be inducted into Delhi Police(inter cadre deputation) at the rank of Joint CP. Reacting to this move, sources said that this is possibly done due to increase the strength and bring more effective officers at the level of Joint CP. Some top sources in the power corridors suggest that at present Delhi Police does not have adequate strength at the level of Joint CP. Whatever may be the reason, it can be said that calling officers from outside is yet again an attempt to depart from UT cadre centric approach and diversify and increase the effectiveness of the Delhi Police.
