DGP Dilbagh Singh To Retire, R.R Swain Most Likely  Successor

DGP Dilbagh Singh To Retire, R.R Swain Most Likely  Successor

The long tenure of Dilbagh Singh as J&K DGP is coming to an end on 31st October. With a few weeks from now, names have started to float for the next J&K DGP. Power corridors have discussed a few names along with the possibility of an outsider a few months back. However, the picture seems to be clear now, and top sources rule out the possibility of an outsider and say that R.R Swain, an IPS officer of the 1991 batch, is most likely to succeed Dilbagh Singh as J&K DGP. Swain is currently J&K CID Chief.  He has also been empnaelled to hold DG-equivalent posts in the centre.
