Discinpline Inquiry Initated Against former UT IAS Satya Gopal, New Power Scam In Offing?

In a major development, MHA has initiated a disciplinary inquiry against Satya Gopal for irregularities in power subsidy distribution. According to the order of MHA, "Satya Gopal IAS; AGMUT 1988(Retd) the then ACS power in contravention to the approval of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Delhi, circulated the cabinet note with a different proposal to release 50 percent of 1st Quarter of FY-2021-22 directly to BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and BYPL. It resulted in undue benefit to the tune of Rs. 1149 Crores to these private companies during the year 2021-22". The order further says that this is a showcase notice, and if no reply is communicated to MHA in 15 days, then MHA shall presume that the officer has nothing to submit, and action, as deemed fit as per law, will be taken against him.
