EC Transfers Andhra Pradesh DGP, Asks State To Appoint New Chief By Tommorow

In a major development, the Election Commission of India has transferred Andhra Pradesh DGP Rajendranath Reddy. According to sources, the Election Commission was unhappy and sceptical of DGP's working in the state while the MCC was in force. It was to some extent expected as DGP was caught in a political storm, which increased his chances of exit. Sources say that EC has asked the state government to appoint a new DGP by tomorrow before 11 AM.
