In a major development in the power corridors, the incumbent IB Chief Tapan Deka is set to get one year extension in tenure. Top sources say that a green light has been given by the top brass to float the proposal of extending IB Chief's tenure. If the government wins the third term, then the proposal will get final approval by the ACC, and an order may be expected by the last week of June.
