J&K DGP Extension Seems Slim, CID Chief, R.R Swain Leads The Race

Five-year term of Dilbagh Singh IPS is coming to an end in October, rumours of his extension is recently been in the circles of the power corridors, however, top sources say that extension seems very slim, In January this year, the home department notified Dilbagh Singh's retirement. The successor of Singh is said to be R.R Swain, IPS of the 1991 batch, currently serving as J&K CID's Chief. Swain is recently empanelled to the rank of DG equivalent in the center. Top sources say that though there are a few other names from Delhi as well for J&K DGP, but  R.R. Swain's chances are brighter than others, and if everything goes well, he will be set to take over as the next J&K DGP.
