Major Reshuffling In Intelligence Circles On Cards As Government Begins The Search For New Heads?

In a major development in the power corridors, it has been learned from top sources that a major shake-up in R&AW and IB is expected soon. According to sources process in this regard is already in pipeline and on the brink of taking place or might have started to take place. Sources further added that approximately 50 officers of various ranks ranging from Director to Joint Secretary/Director in both the agencies are either be transferred/ repatriated or in some cases, inquiry can be set up against some officers who have an unsatisfactory record or acted in a grave unprofessional manner during their duty. This development is seen with utmost significance as the center has started the exercise of searching for new spy chiefs. Sources have also added that the chances of extension of both the spy chiefs are very slim. The incumbents of the present Intel agencies Samant Goel and Arvind Kumar are going to complete their extended tenure next month i.e. 30th June 2022.
