MHA  Asks Chhattisgarh Government To Revoke Suspension of Senior IPS officer

WITC

In a significant development, the Union Home Ministry has asked the Chattisgarh Government to revoke the suspension of Mukesh Gupta, an IPS officer of the 1988 batch belonging to the Chhatisgarh cadre who is currently under suspension for three years on the charges of illegal phone tapping and tampering or destroying in evidence while probing a multi-crore PDS scam. However, it is imperative to underline that this decision of revoking suspension is considerably late for Gupta as he is scheduled to retire at end of this month.
