Shunted Out During 2019 Clash, Former UT IPS Sanjay Singh In Race For Post Retirement Job
Recently retired UT IPS Sanjay Singh is also said to be in the race for a retirement job in the Public Grievance Commission, top sources say. Singh, who retired as Special CP Legal Divison, was once shunted out from the post of Special CP(L&O) North during 2019 clashes between police and lawyers in Delhi. After which he remained in not so significant posts, later on, in 2020, he got a chance to serve as Special CP of Western Range for one year, and again, he shifted back to HQ postings in 2021 as Special CP Legal Division. Interestingly, only those Special CPs who had stature akin to CP and served at DG levels had reckoned for the post-retirement jobs like Deepak Mishra and Dharmender Kumar, top sources say. However, the trend seems to be changing; now, the post retirement search for IPS officers has become a luck-testing field where anyone who is hanging up boots tries her/his hands at exploring post retirement job prospects in Government. In this case, Sanjay Singh has a bleak chance as he is being trailed by a heavyweight IPS officer.
