Will Number Two Take Over R&AW Or Will It Be Returning Home for Someone?

The present R&AW Chief Samant Goel is completing his extended tenure next month and amidst this speculations in the power corridors for the next R&AW Chief have started to brew. According to top sources, it has been learned that as per the practiced convention in bureaucracy the number two of the organization takes over the reins of the chief. If we go by this convention then Sridhar Rao RAS and Ravi Sinha IPS(1988 batch) get in the queue from which Ravi Sinha has a strong chance to take over as the next R&AW chief. However, keeping the surprise element in mind sources say that if government overlooks the practiced convention then this time R&AW chief will be from outside(excluding the second in command) which means Subodh Jaiswal might return to his old home.
