CM Face Announcement In Punjab Is Unusual?

Congress Party going away from its own established norms announced the name of Channi, a Dalit as CM face. With 30 % population if turns out in favor despite the opposition of Jat Sikh in the state sources say congress will be in a better position. Though Congress is trying for years to convince the Jat Sikh sources say they almost favor SAD &BJP combine and probably this time also. Congress Party is also facing some trouble in the projection of Jat leadership, sources say Sukhjinder Randhawa and O P Saini were projected after the exit of Amarinder Singh but yet no common name has been finalized to represent Jats and Hindus in the party. Declaration of Channi as CM was probably done after assurances from Siddhu and Channi to go by decision sources.
