Riots at different places on the festival of Ramnavmi have given new hopes of new chapters on mutual understanding between Hindus and Muslims. In Gujarat, Kerala, and Karnataka, the Hindu temples opened their doors to allow Muslim friends to perform Namaz and also dinner parties at different places Source says. Some temples even organized Iftar for their Muslim friends. At Banaskantha, very serious communal riots took place but Hindus arranged iftar and food for their Muslim brothers in the 1200-year-old temple source says this was the first time in the history when 100 people offered their Namaz and had iftar and dinner. The administration thinks that this is likely to help soothe the feelings of both communities. Kerala state is also not far behind and at Mallpuram, Muslim people offered donations for the restoration of a temple, and in return Hindu devotees of the temple offered pure vegetarian iftar those people source says both communities enjoyed the iftar and the later dinner, the best toast of the entire matter was that the proposal for restoration was from Muslims and accordingly they contributed a lot. Similarly in Karnataka source says the controversy over Hizabul and Halal has almost destroyed the closely netted society but there is one place known as Belur in Hasan district where the last Ramnavmi procession started after the recital of some Ayats from Kuran by Maulavi, source says this ritual is continuing from hundreds of years and continuing. All these though scattered but sparking incidents ensured that the relationship between both communities is tested and some incidents will not destroy?
