Rajasthan Government Denies NOC For Central Deputation For Senior IPS officers
The Rajasthan Government has denied a No Objection Certificate/NOC for central deputation to senior IPS officers. Top sources said that four IPS officers, including former Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George and M.N. Dinesh, along with a few DIGs and SPs, were keen to proceed on central deputation; however, the Rajasthan government blocked their prospects by pausing the NOC process. Top sources add that the state government cited a shortage of officers in the state as the key reason for not allowing its key officers to move to the center.
In the center, the CAPFs and other organizations are adopting a different strategy to fill senior vacancies, especially at the ADG level, by upgrading or promoting junior-level officers, which, top sources add, is squeezing space for outsiders to enter the CAPFs at senior levels, especially at ADG level, top sources add. Notably, of the two senior officers, MN Dinesh and Biju George, the latter recently empanelled at DG level while MN Dinesh is empanelled to ADG level.
