Sensing that some parties and leaders are not comfortable with the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Ji herself called a meeting of all important political parties. BSP and AAP were not invited. 19 parties attended the meeting, though the absence of Akhilesh Yadav was felt by many, sources say. Mrs. Gandhi emphasized opposition unity to give a tough fight to the ruling party in the 2024 elections, she added that all party leaders will have to forget and forgive all previous issues concerning this coming vital issue, sources say. Sitaram Yechuri said that he and his party are ready to shake hands with TMC in the larger interest but not like to share in WB and Kerala, sources say.
