Two National Level Medals In Sport Field.

   Ministry of Sports is having a one national-level award for distinguished sports personnel to recognize their lifetime achievement, sources say. This award known as the Dhyanchand award was established in 2002 during Late Atal JI’s government. A committee constituted by the government considers the active life activities and achievements of individuals and also after retirement the contribution in sports facilities, sources say. Ten lakhs, citation, statue and one special dress presented in this achievements award by the ministry, sources say. Twenty-five lakhs, a special dress, and one medal are presented to the recipient of the Rajeev Gandhi Khel Ratna award. Sources say before accepting the proposal ministry concerned should have been checked the matter must be informed to the authorities that one award in the name of Dhyanchand already exists?
